I absolutely LOVE sharing my tips and experience with my couples. I love guiding and helping them as much as I can, so their wedding day goes smoothly.
In order to have a smooth and successful wedding photography experience, having a detailed wedding day timeline is vital.
So, how do I build the wedding day timeline?
When my couples inquire with me, I look up their wedding day sunset time. So let’s talk about Peter and Courtney’s wedding day. It was a May Wedding and sunset was around 8pm. Based on their sunset time, I suggested ceremony time being 1.5 hours earlier than the sunset. So their cocktail hour could be during the golden hour (Golden Hour = an hour prior to the sunset, so the sun is glowing beautifully and setting it low for perfect lighting for the photos).
Once I know the sunset time, I work backwards to provide other photography timing (get ready, first look, wedding party, family photos). Of course, it’s all based on what my couples prefer but knowing the sunset time and recommending the ideal ceremony time are important.

I met Peter and Courtney a few years ago for their Christmas photos with their adorable doggies. When they reached out to me to document their special day at Playa Largo Resort and Spa in Key Largo, I was over the moon excited.
First of all, we all know Keys’ sunset is GORGEOUS. I mean look at these images! BEAUTIFUL and who wouldn’t love beautiful keys wedding!? So happy I was a part of their special day.
XOXO,
moments you look back on for a lifetime
