WHY do I recommend having a first look on your wedding day?

I have to confess my deep love for “First Look”. There is a reason for this. THEY ARE TRULY AMAZING! However, not everyone is aware of how awesome they are, because couples get caught up in how “non-traditional” it is and they immediately write it off.

So, let me tell you why it’s WORTH it!

Your only alone time!

First look allows you to be together and alone on your wedding day. You will be spending your wedding day with friends and families. First look is going to be only alone time on your wedding day to hold hands, read letters to each other and spend time with each other!

More photos!

First look normally happens prior to the ceremony. So you will have time to do your portraits before the ceremony AND during cocktail hour!

Weather

We live in So.Flo! You can’t predict the weather… There will be more time to do photos when you choose to do a first look (prior to the ceremony and during the cocktail hour). If you choose not to do a first look and it rains during the cocktail hour, you wouldn’t have any natural light photos from your wedding day! Maybe just some cool umbrella shots! 🙂

Enjoy your drinks and food! Cocktail Hour!

You are investing a lot into your wedding day! I’m sure you want to enjoy your special cocktails or delightful apps you selected. When there’s no first look on a wedding day, you wouldn’t have time to enjoy your cocktail hour as that’s the only time we can get portraits done.

My beautiful couple Lexi and Luke got married at Pelican club in Jupiter and I have to tell you I’m so glad my couple chose to do a first look. I’m sure you can tell from all of these beautiful images, they are absolutely fun and easy going. Thank God for a first look! We did most of portraits before rain came and so glad we got so many gorgeous photos of these two!!!
